2008 Joon S. Moon Distinguished International Alumni Award

Nominations are being solicited for the International Studies and Programs 2008 Joon S. Moon Distinguished International Alumni Award. The deadline for receipt of these has been advanced this year because of the extended time required for international recipients and their guests to obtain visas and make travel plans. The earlier selection of the recipient should also allow the nominating unit to incorporate the alumni's visit in the unit's activities while on campus.

We hope that you will join ISP to focus the attention of the campus and the greater community on MSU's international dimension. The Moon Award recognizes distinguished achievements of eminent alumni who came to MSU as international students. This is an opportune time to highlight your graduates. Previous recipients have included alumni from many countries and fields of study. The 2007 recipient was Burhanuddin Abdullah, Governor of Bank Indonesia and chair of the Indonesian Economic Association. He received his M.A. in Economics from MSU in 1984.
