We welcome all submissions of individual papers and proposals for panels, roundtables, or poster sessions. Papers or panels addressing any Asian theme or topic are welcome, including presentations on: "Asia in the Midwest, the Midwest in Asia".

Proposals are due July 31, 2005. People presenting papers must be members of MCAA and should pre-register by August 1, 2005. The membership fee is collected as part of the registration fee for the conference. A one-page abstract of each paper is also due by August 15, 2005. A copy of this abstract should be forwarded to the chair of the panel. Panel or roundtable organizers must present a one-page outline of the issues to be addressed in the panel or roundtable.
